Strawberry Roman tube stock 75mm COMING SOON
$2.39
Roman Strawberry produces pink blooms, which then become flavoursome sweet fruit to use in desserts, as a snack, or whatever your heart desires, you would have to be from outer space to not know what to use a Strawberry for.
Strawberries have a whole range of health benefits ... google them, you will be surprised at some of them, but for me, I have 2 very good reasons why i have strawberries planted all over my home and nursery, not only do i love strawberries and my family love them, but sadly i suffer from pretty bad hayfever ( occupation hazard) and get allergies to certain plants ( also not ideal !!!!), which, every so often, i can get anaphylactic reactions from, but if i do get bad, i eat some strawberries and for me, it helps settles down the reaction, until i see a doctor....... if you ever do get anaphylactic reactions, dont eat strawberries because, they work for, always see a doctor first.
Strawberries prefer full sun in moist well drained soils and love compost and fertiliser. enjoy the flowers, but dont pick them off... the centre of each flower is your strawberry. Pick your fruit when well coloured and ripe... dont eat green strawberries, they taste like s--t and thats what you spend the next 2 hours doing, wait till they are red, sweet and deeelicious !!

Raspberry 14cm .NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL LATE SPRING 2021
$6.99
Raspberry is a popular easy to grow deciduous fruit with arching canes covered with tiny thorns. Bright green foliage over the spring and summer months and then delicious fruit is produced on the canes during the warmer months of the year.
Raspberries will grow in full sun to partial shade in moist well drained soils. Raspberries can get to 2 metres tall by 2 metres wide if allowed. Protect Raspberries from any hot dry winds, water regularly during the summer months and Remove any old canes during the winter months. Always good practice to tie up and support any loose canes to keep them tidy and compact. I dont allow my Raspberries to get to 2 metres tall, in most cases, we keep them at 1 metre tall. My kids love picking the fruits.... im patient and wait for the fruits to fully ripen, but sadly, between 2 hungry fruit bats ( my children) and the native bird population, i often miss out.
Raspberries are great for having in the garden, there is nothing better than growing your own food, picking it and eating it fresh off the bush and tasty little treats whilst you work in the garden, but if you have an abundance of raspberries, which eventually you will.... unless my kids are nearby, then raspberries are also great for making jams, drinks, smoothies, desserts and you can freeze them for a later date

Tomato Rouge de Marmande 75mm .NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL SPRING 2021
$2.39
Tomato Rouge de Marmande is an heirloom beefsteak form of tomato bearing irregular shaped fruit with an excellent flavour.
Rouge de Marmande is a bushy plant that will require staking and can be used for salads, sandwiches, bbq, or in a variety of hot dishes, soups, preserving and sauces.
Tomatoes grow well in Full Sun, in moist, well drained soils with plenty of air flow around the base.
I always prepare the soil before planting with compost, agriboost, some seaweed solution and then some sugar cane mulch. The last thing i do is plant the tomatoes and then stake them. Once they have reached a certain height, i will give them a feed with some potash to encourage lots of flowers ( which become fruit), but I DON'T regularly feed them throughout their growth, as you will just encourage too much foliage growth, there should have been enough nutrient in the soil when you prepared it to get them going and the potash just finishes them. The only exception is, if we have some bizarre weather, or you didn't put enough nutrient in to begin with and the tomato foliage goes a little yellow, then they are hungry and need a feed with some seaweed solution.
Plant your tomatoes a little deeper than their current height after purchase, then once they grow up to about 40cms, prune away any of the bottom 10cms of foliage to allow air flow around the base and a good spot for companion planting basil, marigolds, nasturtiums and other pest insect repellants.
Stake your tomatoes with a simple teepee of 3 good sized hardwood stakes pushed into ground on an angle around the tomato and then tie the 3 tops together to form a teepee and as the tomato grows up, attach it to the teepee for support.
We will endeavor to have more Tomato Varieties available soon.... 2020 has been a tough year to get the seed supply we require and demand has been crazy high.... we love it and love you interest in gardening from home, but please bear with us, we are working as hard as we can to make sure there is plenty for everybody.
