Daphne Spring Pink Eternal Fragrance has smaller foliage than the normal Daphne odora we all know and love, but one main difference, is Spring pink flowers more frequently throughout the year, whereas Daphne Odora only flowers from winter until Spring / early Summer.
Spring pink, develops flushes of the sweetly fragrant pink flowers on the smaller deep green foliage during the winter and into the Spring months. It is not uncommon for Spring Pink to also re-flower during the Summer months and again in the Autumn months with darker pink buds fading to lighter pink tones…. Unlike other Daphnes, Sprink Pink will thrive in a full sun position and perform just as well in partial shade.
Spring Pink will grow up to 60cms tall by 90cms wide in full sun to partial shade in well drained soils, it does not like wet boggy soils or it will rot, the soil must be free draining to ensure the root system remains healthy. Spring Pink is frost hardy and dry tolerant once established and for optimum results, prune lightly and feed with a complete slow release fertiliser in early summer to maintain shape and vigour for better growth and longevity.
Spring pink is ideal for small gardens, sensory gardens, cottage gardens, patios, courtyards, balconies, pots / containers or as a stunning low perfumed hedge or border.
Spring Pink, with its exquisite fragrance, repeat flowering is a truly outstanding garden and pot performing shrub
