Impatiens are a beautiful annual, low growing plant with small green leaves on thick succulent like stems, best suited to shadier gardens and positions.
Impatiens Bonita Cherry produce masses of stunning double Cherry coloured flowers from October until May.
Bonita Impatiens will grow up to 35cms tall by 35cms wide in full shade, part shade or filtered light positions and are ideal for hanging baskets, mixed planters, garden beds, under trees, pots, containers, to brighten up dull areas of the garden, ferneries, patios and balconies. They can also be used indoors for a short period of time in indirect light…. just watch your heating & cooling airflow, they may not flourish as much as they would outside.
Protect Impatiens from high winds, so keep them in a sheltered / protected location, in moist to well drained soils… you dont want them to get too wet or too dry and most importantly, protect them from frost, slugs and snails.
Lots of advice there, but once you have it down pat, they are an easy to grow plant that will definitely liven up any dark or dull areas of your garden for the later part of Spring, the whole of Summer and part of Autumn. Even though you have to plant them every year, once you have experienced the beauty and joy of Impatiens, you will look forward to your next display each and every year.
