Salvia Greggii Mirage Pink is a perennial plant with a bushy habit of small green foliage. Mirage Pink produces vivid Pink flowers from mid Spring right through Summer to the end of Autumn.
Mirage Salvias have Excellent heat tolerance with masses of bright flowers are tough, hardy, and an attractive pollinator plant, to bring birds, bees and butterflies into your garden.
Mirage Salvias thrive in a sunny to partly shaded position in moist to well drained soils and will tolerate light frosts.
Mirage Salvias will grow up to 35cms tall by up to 40cms wide and with their stunning display of flower stems, they are ideal for perennial borders, informal borders, cottage gardens and rockeries. Salvias look great in pots, mixed planters and containers, but will really thrive when planted out in the garden.
Cut back after flowering to encourage strong new fresh growth and re flowering.
I find that my Salvias in my garden, respond well to a regular liquid feed, once per month will be suffice and an annual feed of a good quality fertiliser, in the Spring months, will help to keep them well nourished and performing throughout all seasons
At Paddys Plants, we do our best to give you the right information, that we have received, in regards to our Salvia range, there are hundreds of species very similar in colour, style and growth habit and we sadly, have been the scorn of some Salvia experts, I would like to quote a grower, that I admire and respect and often turn to for further knowledge and advice myself, in my mind her knowledge on salvias and perennials, is the best and most thourough, in Sue Templeton ” The average gardener doesn’t care about the exactness but just wants to know what sort of plant it is”. I find, Sue Templetons page, is the best page I have read for information on Salvias and other perennials here in Australia.
